You broke down barriers for Sue and her daughter
Thanks to you, they found acceptance and empowerment

When Sue discovered her child was Deaf, her world was suddenly filled with unfamiliarity. Worry set in as she wondered how they would communicate with each other. She was overcome with fear as she imagined the countless accessibility hurdles awaiting them, and the limitations these would put on her daughter’s future.
That’s when you eased her troubled mind
Through your compassion, Silent Voice, a ShareLife-funded agency, enabled Sue and her growing daughter to break down barriers in a welcoming American Sign Language (ASL) environment. Despite the persistent stigma and misunderstanding that people with disabilities face, Silent Voice offers a haven of acceptance and empowerment for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community and their families. Here, their dignity and worth are affirmed, providing them with the confidence to thrive. And it’s all possible because of understanding supporters like you.
“There is nothing my child and I can’t do, with your support!” Sue proclaims. “I know we are going to face barriers, but I also know you are going to be there for me, and for my daughter’s whole life journey!”
You create opportunities for those who need it most and ensure no one faces these challenges alone.
