A 26-year-old refugee living in a shelter, Hamed was haunted by flashbacks of the deaths of his parents, sister and grandmother during the war in Afghanistan. He was alone in Canada, not knowing where to turn.
He found the tools he needed
You were there for him. Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS), an agency funded through your gift to ShareLife, helped him apply for affordable housing, a work permit, and financial assistance. While he seeks employment, he attends CCS’s free English classes and mental health programs.
