Oliver was one of them. He was not a stranger to this, as he grew up surrounded by drugs and alcohol. He, too, fell into a cycle of addiction. His substance abuse decimated his budget month after month, making it hard for him to keep an apartment. As a result, he frequented the shelter program at Covenant House.
A better and brighter future
Determined to put his addiction behind him, he was connected with a Youth in Transition worker – a Covenant House program made possible through your loving support.
The worker helped him navigate the systems he would need to recover. For a while, Oliver fell into a difficult pattern. But through different approaches, including a pre-treatment process and long-term addiction program, he was able to advance his recovery.
Oliver’s journey to sobriety hasn’t been straightforward, but he remains committed to his course of treatment. Thanks to your unwavering devotion to those in need, Oliver is now filled with much hope, taking it one day at a time.
