As one of many valued residents who live with dementia, his cognitive impairment can leave him feeling vulnerable. Your compassion makes it possible for him to be surrounded by both his family and caregivers in a comforting environment. John’s son has fondly witnessed gestures that go above and beyond for his father. Caregiver “Steve” answers John’s every call without hesitation, despite that not being his name. He understands that John can face confusion, and prevents him from feeling embarrassed by it. This is a testament to the dignity and life-affirming respect you help provide.
